Like many parents, I was deeply frustrated by the endless cycle of mass-produced, fast-fashion children's clothing. I was tired of beautiful milestone photos being ruined by ill-fitting, scratchy baby hats that either stained easily, stretched out after a single wash, or constantly slipped down over my little one's eyes during play. I realised that the modern market was saturated with synthetics, polyester fleece which are extremely uncomfortable for our little ones along with disposable designs that simply weren’t built to last.
I wanted something different. I wanted beautifully structured pieces made from natural materials that could handle the chaos of a morning at the park, look breathtaking in a family portrait, and still hold enough integrity to be packed away as a keepsake for the next generation.
Inspired by my son's curiosity and cuteness, I decided to make bonnets myself.

True slow fashion is functional. There is nothing more heartbreaking than investing in a premium boutique piece only for your infant to outgrow it two weeks later.
When designing our profile shapes, we integrated a signature adjustable buttonhole detail into the bonnet straps. This gives the garment built-in room for growth, allowing the ergonomic, structured fit to adapt beautifully as your baby grows. The design ensures the bonnet hugs the head securely, staying in place without ever sliding forward or obstructing their view.
Every single piece that leaves our Sydney studio is meticulously hand-finished. From hand-cutting fabric to sewing our completely flat-stitched inner seams (in order to eliminate raw, scratchy edges against delicate skin) to our clean-edged, striped contrast binding.
